We have recently heard from an old member and officer of Lozells Harriers, Fred Brooks, who has recently returned from a long spell in Australia. Lozells were one of the clubs that founded the league back in 1925.

He, as one time secretary of the club, was able to confirm that Lozells Harriers had a club vest that consisted of red and white hoops with the badge in the middle of the vest. The badge itself was of a stags head superimposed over a four bar gate and, in a semi-circle of the bottom of the stags head, were the words Lozells Harriers. He has promised to send us an image of a cloth badge with the logo on it.

He has been researching the history of Lozell Harriers and will be giving a talk at the Nechells Community Centre in Melvina Rd, Nechells, Birmingham on Wednesday 27th February 2013. Later in April he is to discuss the book with Carl Chinn on local BBC Radio.
